Teacher professional knowledge application and service delivery in public secondary schools in Bungoma East Sub County, Kenya

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect teacher professional knowledge practice on service delivery. was guided by Goal Setting Theory Edwin Locke (1979) and adopted a descriptive research design. population 1050 respondents comprising three Curriculum Support Officers (CSO), 78 Principals, 80 Deputy principals 870 teachers from public secondary schools in Bungoma East Sub County. sample size determined using Krejcie Morgan formula for determining sizes where 263 achieved. employed purposive, stratified random sampling techniques draw respondents. All were used study. researcher questionnaires interview guides collect data. Quantitative data analyzed statistics presented tables. Qualitative as per themes subthemes described quotations. established that there little impact delivery preparation lesson plans, use teaching/learning aids class, marking learners’ exercise books, observation ratings school managers schools.
